EyeRate
A UX/UI redesign focused on making the web app easier to use and more engaging.
EyeRate (now Edge) came to us for a marketing website redesign in 2021, which in turn led to a full overhaul of their web app. Our job was to improve usability and increase engagement. Over a six-month project timeline, we addressed key UX and UI issues identified through customer feedback, heuristic analysis, and engineer interviews.
The Process
After identifying the key pain points we moved forward with pen on paper wire-framing to visualize potential solutions. Next we began prototyping and developed initial mock-ups in collaboration with the engineering team. Finally, the full set of mock-ups as well as a design guide were handed off to the EyeRate team for development. Key features of the redesign included a streamlined navigation, a streamlined SMS messaging system, leaderboards to incentivize users, user profiles, a team chat system, and a centralized view for incoming reviews.
Additionally, the visual style was refreshed with updated colors, icons, and typography. Helpful tooltips with instructional text were also added to assist new users.
