meet Katie
Founder & Lead Designer
Hi, I’m Katie 👋 founder of this little studio on the North Coast of California. I first got into graphic design because I wanted to make video games, and being a kid in the Myspace era meant I was constantly breaking (and fixing) code. Over time I fell in love with the way websites blend art and logic. What began as a hobby turned into a career in freelancing, and eventually into Humboldt Creative, a space where I could support small businesses, makers, and creatives with thoughtful, intentional design.
I believe in keeping things simple, communicating with kindness, and designing with purpose. I live in Bayside with my family and a very well stocked tea cabinet. When I’m not at my desk, you can usually find me walking through the redwoods, fire dancing at the beach, or rock climbing with my kids.
